ST MARY THE VIRGIN CONVENT, UFUMA is a girls school (all boarding) established by the Anglican Diocese of Aguata in the year 1992 with the motive of satisfying the ever increasing yawning of educational need and demand of the Nigerian society and the world at large.

This is a school established to be a place of excellence-academically, spiritually and morally.

It is believed that at the end of six years course, each girl would have a foundation of sound christian education so as to became leaders in their chosen profession and within the church.

Mrs Constance Umeh, with extensive and diversified experience of more than 35 years in the education industry, a comprehensive training and an exemplary career in leading national and international organizations, Mrs Constance possess the required skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the achievement of objectives and goals of the convent.

She is a confident negotiator with the ability to compellingly convey the message at hand to all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external.

With a team oriented style of management and excellent interpersonal skills, she places a strong emphasis on high work quality, timeliness and accuracy of work.

She believes that all stakeholder should be involved to analyse, strategically plan, manage and motivate actions to achieve immediate and long-term goals.


Mrs Constance Umeh is a strong believer in teamwork and through this medium, she successfully plans and co-ordinates complex operations.

With the support of management, staff, students and parents, she creates a caring and educational atmosphere where students and teachers have the opportunity to fulfill their potential through intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth.
